    Add to this\u00a0Dr Biology specializing in Exercise and Extreme Situation Physiology, especially in high mountain hypoxia and AMS\u00a0(Acute Mountain Sickness) and you have a perfect combination of modern theory and practical application.<\/p>\n

    When not climbing, Liga lectures as a\u00a0professor at the University of Latvia\u00a0and runs and skies endurance races (ultratrails and worldloppets). She is one of a few specialists in the AMS field in the Nordics and has written\u00a020 studies on hypoxia and exercise physiology.<\/p>\n
